Guest guest
Hi Jan Welcome to the group. I have nerve damage in my upper legs, from the tourniquets used during bilateral knee replacement surgery in March 2001. I have found that Neurontin, one of the many medications I take, helps the most, but I hate the side effects. I will be seeing my physician today to see about trying Lyrica. Staying warm, swimming at the local hot springs, and keeping my legs elevated help too. Once again, welcome to the group. It looks like you should fit right in here. I want to also welcome any other new members. Kaylene Moderator Jan wrote: Hi. I just joined today. I have had 5 back surgeries with severe nerve damage from them and two total knee replacements which made the nerve damage worse in the legs. I am anxiously waiting to start being a member of this group and getting to know each of you. Jan --------------------------------- Yahoo! Photos Ring in the New Year with Photo Calendars. Guest guest
I was on Neurotin a long time ago but it didn't seem to help me. Now that we have Lyrica in the US my dr. put me on it and it has really helped. Not everything of course, but it has sure helped a lot of areas. Thanks for the welcome. Kaylene ------------------------------------------------------- Kaylene, What did you find out about taking Lyrica? I just started it and am anxious to hear how others like it. I always hesitate to take a new med. Seems like we are always trying new meds. but when new ones come out I guess that is the same to do. Local hot spring? Oh, you lucky. We still have snow here! This is the first day the sun has shined in 14 days. Now I am putting on a happy face to see that good sunshine. Hi to all and hope everyone is having a light pain day, Jan neal@...
