Guest guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 My son just turned 6 and for the first time has been able to tell me that he doesn't feel right or he feels " really weird inside " . I think this is great he can verbalize this, but he can't narrow it down any more than that. Once he told me he feels weird all over inside and another time he swept his hand around his body and told me he feels funny all over. This has happened about 5+ times over the last 1-2 week period - once during the middle of the night - and he's normally a good sleeper. Strangely enough he doesn't have any GI issues going on. His OT needs have increased as well as behavior and frustration issues. He does have some seasonal allergy issues going on and he is taking Zyrtec, Nasonex, and Pulmicort breathing treatment once a day. The Zyrtec has been ongoing. The nasonex and pulmicort we started a few weeks ago due to a nasty virus that brought on asthma. His allergy symptoms have greatly improved. Could it be that these allergy meds are suppressing his immune reaction that is making him feel " weird " ? I already have the paperwork from his primary and allergy/pulmonary specialist to get blood drawn for CBC, chem panel and celiac screen (his pulmonary specialist wants to run this one). He's GFCFSF and corn free, peanut free... I believe his primary pediatrician will run additional tests if I ask, but I'm not sure which ones to ask for. I'm thinking an Immune Panel from Immunosciences - but which one? Any suggestions? I can't contact his DAN doctor right now but I don't want to wait to get the testing done. Thanks for any help.
