Fibro and Myers Cocktail

Hi,

A while back i posted to the list that i was starting a new treatment

for fibro. Its a weekly IV called a Myers Cocktail and its full of

mega vitamins. i also get a B12 shot. I have finished the first 6

weeks of getting a weekly IV and now it will go down to every 2 weeks.

I thought I would let you know how its doing for me. I have a TON more

energy and can see a difference in my stamina as well. We have had a

lot of cold fronts and rain come through plus the hectic pace of the

holidays so its kinda hard to tell if it is helping the ache factor

much. I have also been really pushing my limits latel;y too. but I can

say, i have gotten a lot more done that i expected during the holidays.

So.. whats it like? The IV takes about an hour and a half from arrival

to heading out the door. I hang out and yak to the others, or read a

book and chill. Most everyone says they feel a bit hot during the IV

and you get a funny taste in your mouth as well. I tend to feel a

little wierd, but nothing too bad or concerning. I also tend to feel

tired the rest of the day. but come the next morning, I am ready to

tackle the world with lots of extra energy.

It took about 3 weeks for me to begin to feel the effects. Some feel

it right away, others take as much as 6 weeks to note a difference. In

general I feel much brighter and more like my old self. My husband

says I am more active as well. But I tend to push whatever limits i

have all the time. So, My own perspective may not be as accurate as

his. If my limit was 3 feet i would fight it, if its 6 feet i fight

it.. etc etc.

all in all I am quite pleased with the results and will continue to

get the myers cocktails. I think its worth it. I am not reccomending

this to others, but giving you my expeience of the treatment, and

perhaps more options to look into.
