I have seen and talked about this for years. Dr. McCandless wrote about

this a few years back when I inquired about this.

It is like a fog was lifted or they were just released from the body that

they are in. In my case, it was always a burst of new language, great

behaviors just great every thing.

Thanks Judy. Thats what I saw. My son who just started putting 2 and very rarely

3 words together( which always started with " I want " ) very learned....was using

4 word sentences. Slow... but wow. And he had no stimming and his eye contact

was just awesome.After a week this mostly went away but with some kept

gains.Thanks for sharing : )

You are right that the majority of kids who improve during fever are probably

infected by viruses, I was just pointing out that there are often multiple

variables...I am still stunned at how different our children are...

My son's language and behaviors improve when he is sick with a low grade fever. Last month he had an unknown virus and he ran a low temp for three days, he didn't appear autistic at all during those three days and there wasn't any stimming, which is what I noticed first cause he stims all the time. Then we he was better all his autistic behaviors returned. I spoke to our DAN about it.

then that means it's from triggering the immune system meaning it is in burned out mode, working on it will give you the same results, like LDN, DMG, and finding out WHY the immune system isn't working, viral issues, nutrition lacking

For my ds it doesn't matter if the cause is viral or bacterial. He has a positive response from both.>> Wow quite alot of fever responders....
