Guest guest Posted June 22, 2004 Report Share Posted June 22, 2004 thats strange because I have numerous suposed to be benine tumors in my breast and I recousted a mamogram and they denied me because I was only 25 at the time, telling me that my tissue was too dense for a mammo. If you have lumps and even if they say they are benign, there should be a mammogram to verify that. I started at age 40 to get them as breast cancer runs in our family. My grandmother passed away at age 69 to cancer (limph node). I'd request at least a mammogram or possibly even a biopsy to be sure. Maybe they can determine this just by visual and touch exam? I don't know. I'd still ask for a second opinion if not a third.
