Guest guest
I am not saying this about anyone here, of course, but the anti-dog propaganda was started by crypto-pro-felinists. All I can say is I have been pushing the limits of good sense when it comes to dog saliva ever since she was about 6 mos old, she's about 3 now. I haven't had any mystery infections or stomach upsets and my allergies are to pollen. The vet said not to let her lick my spoon, or something and I said, " oh no " , but soon after that I would let her lick some food of my finger and occasionally go back to eating with the same hand. If anyone repeats this off list I will deny it! Some dogs eat ---stuff-- if my dog did, I would get a new dog, I think. Sasha doesn't get outside enough on the loose to pick up germs. I think....and she's never had fleas. Guest guest
Possibly a whippet. I have a whippet. He's blue/grey with the sweetest nature. Most loved activity of his is lounging on my bed under the covers, interspersed with racing round the backyard at high speed. When he corners, his side is almost flat to the ground. At the doggy park he can run rings around (literally) german shepherds / labradors etc who are running at top speed. Truly amazing to watch. sandi > Today I saw and was licked (on the hand) by an extremely > sweet little dog. Looked like a miniature greyhound. Guest guest
Hi Jane, there are Italian Greyhounds and Whippets. Both have the look of greyhounds, but are smaller. Greyhounds are called sight hounds they are very visually alert and ready to chase things. I think the little ones were bred for upper class pets. I think the Italian Greyhounds are smaller. They are very cute little things. Camille > Today I saw and was licked (on the hand) by an extremely > sweet little dog. Looked like a miniature greyhound. Guest guest
Hi, I have a friend who had a rescued grayhound and they made sure he got to run like a maniac. They would take him out to this sort of rural park and let him chase rabbits. I don't think he ever caught them, but he lived to run. Sasha likes to run too, she's has a blast and runs like a maniac even though she only has one good back hip. I have to run her when it's cool because she can get easily overheated. No nose. She has this little bit of shepherd instinct she likes to try to herd me and nip and my ankles to keep my from moving, etc, when we are out in an open field. She had another dog that was a lurcher. Maybe you know they are specially bred half grayhounds used for sheepherding or sheep guarding. The one she had died and she looked all over for another one and had an adult dog shipped to her from the middle of the country, she is here in California. She's the woman I know who is the most AS like. Camille > Possibly a whippet. I have a whippet. He's blue/grey with the sweetest > nature.
