Guest guest
Just a note on the memory thing, I would love for my fiance to read all the emails you guys write about your memory problems. My fiance thinks whenever my memory goes that I am drugged up when I am not. For instance, we just bought a air conditioner. I know I was with him when we bought it, I was the one that picked it out, but I have absolutely no memory at all of this and it was just last week. So he gets very angry because I asked him about 6times where it came from and how much it cost. This kind of stuff happens to me all the time. I know when I have lost a memory and I get scared to ask him what happened because I know he is going to snap. He just does not understand that this goes along with fms. Guest guest
i'd like my kids to read the stuff about memory... in fact, i've printed out some information from sites you've recommended so a BIG thank you to all who have done so... i have taken to using a datebook which has been helpful but i can write down every conversation i have - another reason why i love email... but i can't take notes on EVERY conversation i have... when i attend my circle mtgs, i take notes bc there are so many people talking that, in order to be able to comment if need be, i have to keep track of my thots... very difficult and i'm not gettin a whole lotta understandin from quite a few people in my life about the memory situation and i find myself backin away from circle alot due to the lack of compassion i'm finding there... it's hard for me to 'do battle' so i prefer to take it all to a neutral corner in order to examine it for a few days to make sense of it... perhaps that makes more sense to fibromites, the need to take the time to think about a problem or a situation bc we can't trust our memories... i've found a similar situation in workshops i present... i used to be able to 'wing it' and now i cannot... if i have to stop to answer questions, i really GOTTA make sure i put a mark on where we left off bc i have a hard time going back to where we left off w the same sense of continuity... mebbe that's it... the fogginess we experience is a hiccup in our continuity...!!! Winter, still thinkin... Re: by the way Just a note on the memory thing, I would love for my fiance to read all the emails you guys write about your memory problems. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. Mental and verbal abuse (for those that are only dealing with one or both of these) can damage just as much or worse than physical abuse. This should not be tolerated, not even once b/c once is one time too many. If you suspect that this is happening to you pls get help. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Again with memory, I just finished watching Lord of the Rings the Two Towers, now I know I went to the movie theatre to see this movie, can you believe I don't remember one thing about this movie. It drives me crazy, I feel like I've got alziemers. Jana
Guest guest
I'm the same way. My memory is so bad. I have to write everything down several times to remember something. I also have a hard time speaking sometimes. I get words mixed up and sort of stutter. It's bad because I teach Spanish and sometimes I can't remember the simplest words in Spanish. I just tell my students that I'm brain dead which makes them laugh but it worries me. > Again with memory, I just finished watching Lord of the Rings the Two Towers, now I know I went to the movie theatre to see this movie, can you believe I don't remember one thing about this movie.
