I don't have the facial pain, but keeping my mouth open and holding still during my cleaning was very difficult and caused a small flare up. Now I'm having a major flare up and I'm supposed to get fillings Thursday. I am surprised I have cavitites in the first place. I don't know if I should reschedule when I'm feeling better or get it over with, since it may take awhile. My face muscles go nuts now when I'm upset. I'm afraid that I might get tremors and mess up the procedure. Good luck with your Disability application, and with your Nerve surgeon. Did you tell your pain doc about your leg?
