Good morning…

Dear All,

Can anybody help me in getting the IS 4355 (which is related to the Fire Retardant

Asbestos Cloth).

I need it urgently, kindly co-operate.

Dear all,

I agree with Mr. Pawar. Fire retardant

cloth is very well avauilable in the market, we purchased Cover all made

of fire retardant material (like Boiler suit).

Also I was told by LPA , " BRATTICE

CLOTH " is available which can be used as fire blanket to contain spatters

during overhead welding/gas cutting.

Dear all,

I represent Cochin shipyard and we are desperately

looking for replacement of asbestos fire cloth.

So far explorations within India

haven’t produced any results.

Any body having info about replacements

for asbestos, do reply

Mr Manaf

Fire retardant clothing that meets the NFPA 2112 standard must be

maintained to the guidance in NFPA 2113 standard

Recommended matls are

•Nomex IIIA (Aramid), single or twill weave product, minimum weight 160

g/m2 .

•Nomex Delta C,

•Dale Antiflame FR 100% cotton fabric, minimum weight 215 g/m2

•Indura Ultra Soft,(250 g/m2)

•Any other material, acceptable to the procurement department, which meet

or exceed the NFPA 2112 or EN 531.
