Guest guest
Dear All / Moderator The mail flow has increased drastically, one way it is good that lot information is shared and utilized by our group members, but i am sorry to say that if 10 mails are circulated 2 will be on advertisements, 2 will be personal discussions between our members, 2 will be out of subject and 1 will be junk. So finaly out of 10 mails only 3 mails will be relevant and useful for the group. ( This is my personal opinion and may varry also) If this continues many of our group members may lose interest of reading the mails and replying, ( i feel this has already started )which is going to affect the entire group. Few steps to follow: 1. Use reply where ever necesary, instead of reply to all 2. If you want to thank a particular members thank him alone by using his mail ID alone. 3. If you want to remove your mail id from group use Link (or) send message to moderator alone not to the entire group 4. If you want to add a member to the group use link (or) send message to moderator alone not to the entire group 5. Dont send any information which is not relevent to the group 6. Dont advertise by using groups ID 7. Dont send the same message again and again Before using Groups ID think twice and before sending a message think thrice whether this will be usefull for the entire group I request all the group members not to deviate from our objective and spoil the purpose of the group. Guest guest
To All I fully agree with the steps suggested by Mr.Santhanam except sr.no. 1. If any reply is w.r.t. safety information itmust be circulated to all, even though 1. It is repeation. Because for new members itwill be for first time. 2. or chemical person may feel that information onengg. safety is not needed to me. But long run it will be definatelyuseful. Step no. 2 to 7 we mustavoid. Mutha Request to all members of thegroup Dear Manan & All, Request you to send personal messages to the concerned person/sonly and not to the whole group on indiansafetyprofessionals . Guest guest
Dear members Few more things I would like to add: Please 1. Write in the subject column, clearly the details of the mail content in an understandable fashion (similar to govt. letters) so that we can prioritise. 2. Check the spelling of the content before sending and use font and colour - standard ones (even Mr.Santhanam, in his mail has written verry and usefull and fonts were in red colour) 3. Keep sending safety materials to all irrespective of whether it is useful or not. 4. Participate in debates (like acetylene, honey bee, work permit etc) which will throw more light on the issues and also will enable us to share our wisdom. Team work is always better. 5. Take effort to reply if someone requests for a specific information and share that to all so that others who have some knowledge about the subject can add / correct and thus contribute. 6. Even if an odd mail is not relevant / repeated let us not much bother about it - all it takes is few seconds of browsing the content - I am sure we can afford it. 7. Bring as many members as possible into the forum so that safety officers are linked.
