Dear Mr.Anil Choumal

Please find enlcosed presentation on Static Electricity, You will get the

idea ......How static electricity will generate ?

Nut bolt does not have that much of conductivity (Pass the electron) to end

point and they are accumulate at that place & generate a spark.

Solvent has low flash point & LEL and accumulate electron have enough energy

to create a fire................ thatwhy we are providing copper jumper to

the joints.

Static Jumpers for solvent carrying

pipelines

Dear Safety Professional

I would like to know the answers for following

questions

1 Why static Jumpers are required at solvent

carrying pipe lines flange joints.

2 The flange ends are connected with the nut and

bolts and they can act as the conductor for dissipatin

of the static charges.

3 Which type of static jumpers are available for

glass equipments used at pilot plants.

Also, any such relevant information about the Static

Electricity to educate the people

Regards

Anil Choumal
