Guest guest Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Dear all, All the management systems are aimed at cos rt reduction. For example ISO 9001:2000 THIS SYSTEM AIMS AT QUALITY. that IS REDUCTION OF non CONFORMING PRODUCTS. If non conforming products , that is rejection rate is reduced the productivity goes up. ISO 14001 ;2004. This system is environmental management system the aim of this system to manage waste either by reduce, recycle, recover, reuse or refuse methods. An example to quote. In boiler chimney if black smoke is coming out it is sign of polluting the atmosphere. That is creating air pollution. This is an indication that the fues burnt in the boiler is not alright. That the fuel we feed is half burnt or less.We take corrective action by adjusting the air fuse ratio . The black smoke is removed which make the environment clean and our fuel efficiency is increased. OHS AS 19001:1999. Accident is an event leads to damage to property and or damage to individual. that is employee. So if we are able to reduce or pr vent accidents we saving money by avoiding loss to damage top property and cost of treating employee etc. Any process cannot be isolated to look only quality aspect or environmental or safety .They all three are integrated in any production process. regards, T.S.SRINIVASAN. __________________________________________________ Quote
