Guest guest
Friends, As I told you I have finally been approved for my husbands insurance (applied back in Jan.). I found my old doctor from before all this took place for she had moved her pratice. Not able to see her until the 28th of this month. But at least there is a date and with someone I trust. I have had a really bad week between pain, not sleeping and then falling over with sleep, and my brain fog. Speaking of brain fog, I had jury duty scheduled and so I looked online like you are suppose to the day before and found it had been rescheduled. Well, I have been thinking it was the end of this month and it turns out it was the 3rd. The way I found that out was I got a nasty note from the government saying that I had failed to appear and that if I didn't call I could face a fine and/or imprisonment. LOL Well, it is rescheduled now for June 15th. God, I hope I don't forget it this time. I emailed the infor to myself. My son in Denver is graduating and my daughter has purchased me a ticket. I am hoping to take a laptop with me. Well, you all take care and may God bless you all with health and strength. Norene
Guest guest
Norene, I would think that you would be excused anyway. Is there a form to fill out to send to them stating that you have Fibromyalgia? If you have brain fog, are not able to sit for long periods of time, and have to take pain medication, they will excuse you. You would not be able to give the trial the full attention that you need to. Look to see if there is a web site for your Jury Duty notice. Will your old doctor sign a statement for you stating that you are medically unable to sit thru a trial? My last Jury duty lasted for two weeks I think. It was a few months before I was laid off from my job. The people who were chose for the other trial were told that it could last a month. A few called in sick the next day and they did send police to their doors to let them know if they were not there the next day, they would be held in contempt of court and put in Jail. Guest guest
I am fortunate that I'm half deaf. I get out of jury duty every time. Can't understand a word a person says to me if they are more than 6 feet away and on top of that, they have to enunciate VERY well! ) Earth is my home and animals are my family. Life is my religion and love is my example. Peace and freedom belongs to us all. > Norene, > I would think that you would be excused anyway. Guest guest
Hi Ruth! YEs, I do wear hearing aids... since I was in the 4th grade (about 38 years ago *G*). Just replaced my 17year old aid last year with a digital one. Took a little getting used to. I got an over the ear one so in case it needs servicing I can have a loaner while they are working on it. I " m supposed to have an aid in each ear but because I'm on the phone off and on, it would be in the way so I have only one. I get by just fine with one and lipreading. *G* ) > > Do you wear hearing aids, may be what you could do is get an hearing exam and > maybe get digital hearing aids, they are so wonderful.
