Guest guest
I am in need of suggestions. Was notified by the staff at my office that the Brother Multifunction printer/scanner/copier/Fax machine I bought 8 years ago when I first opened my own office died this afternoon in a literal “blaze” of glory. Since it is costing me almost everything the office is managing to bring in without me there, I don’t really want to have to purchase a new machine right now. I was thinking of using an online fax option where faxes could be routed directly to my computer. Then I could get a photocopier 2nd hand for a lot less than a new MFC machine. If I do get a new MFC I want it to be wirelessly connectable and print in color if at all possible. Does anyone have any suggestions for possible ways to obtain faxes thru an internet connection without a traditional fax machine? Preferably one which would use my current fax number but allow the faxes to go to an inbox setup on the computer network. Any suggestions on a copier/scanner that has been found to be well worth its cost? I paid $399 for my 8 yr. old Brother MFC and other than replacing toner and/or drum units it has worked flawlessly for 7 years 8months and 14 days. I contacted brother but they wanted almost as much as I paid for it new, to check out and repair this one. I figured the money was better spent on a newer unit than repairing an 8 yr. old MFC printer. Dr. Beth Sullivan, DO
