Question about warm leg

This is what happened to me a couple hours ago. While at Penny's I was preparing

to check out and all of a sudden my right leg felt like it was on fire. I tried

to walk and the pain was intense. Bear in mind I take pain pills so it must

have been very bad. Anyway, I made it over to the cash register and paid while

leaning on the counter. Then I took my sack and got maybe 3 feet when the pain

hit again and I had to lean on a clothes rack. I started again and had to sit

on the rack holding shirts. I did not think I was going to even make that as

the pain was so bad I doubled over.

I have had possible DVT in the past and it was nothing like this pain. It was

all in my upper leg, though my foot felt warm just not on fire. A sales

associate asked me if I was allright and I told her I did not think so. She

called my daughter who was at Sears, at my request, on her cell phone. She also

went to bring a wheelchair. When she got back my daughter had arrived and she

helped me get to the car. I actually thought we might have to call 911 the pain

was that bad. Now it is let up. My entire leg feels warm but not on fire. It

is like a dull ache. but warm.

I realize none of you are doctors and of course it is Friday night, all doc's

are gone. I will call the doctor if it comes again. I can call him at home, he

gave me his home number. I am wondering if any of you have ever experienced a

pain like this. The first thing I thought of is blood clots, but I guess I

would already be dead if it was that. The only thing besides the warm I have is

my head is starting to hurt. Any ideas? Gwen

p.s. I had not walked very far and did not have a busy day.

Hi Gwen,

Hun, that sounds so painful! I'm so sorry. I don't know what that could

be. I get a warm feeling in my feet, when it's really hot out, they kind

of feel like they are on fire too, but I don't have the pain you described

when they do that.

Please do call your doctor if it comes back. I'd call him/her on monday

anyway and tell him/her what happened.

*hug* if you would like one,

Sierra
