Guest guest
don't know abotu any group, but you have the right to get your records and see what they say, and if there is something in the records that you believe is wrong you have a few choices. I once had to have my records changed by the doc that made the error. I also know you can put your own statement into the files refuting the thing/s you think are wrong. I would use these freedoms carefully however, because misspelled words, or something misunderstood can make one look kinda mental or goofy... we as lay people have to be careful as to what we say and put into records. But we have those rights. dash Question I, have a question, is there any kind of group out thier that has information for paitiens by paientens, as to the etecal treatment, and attitudeas, of the doctors, such as paient-doctor relations, like does this dr. treat you as a equal or like dirt under thier feet. do they listen to you of wave away t\your comment. if not does anyone know about how to go about starting one.seems to me if dr.s can mark on your perminate medical records kept in a data base. on the type of patient you are. then we the paitent should beable to referance comments made by pass paitens of any dr. dont you agree. just a thought genie
Guest guest
Hi Regina, There is a Top Doc site on the thyroid.about.com group. People in the yahoo thyroid group share information about which doctors are good and listen. They list sites for other doctors as well. I think it is www.brodabarnes.org. You may want to look at these two sites for information. I would also recommend the www.fibrofatigue site. I think there is also an immune site. I hope this helps you. Guest guest
I am a hospice nurse. A lot of doctors do not want to prescribe pain meds even for the patients who are terminal. They don't want them to get addicted..... I ask, " Wouldn't it be better to die addicted than to die in pain? " Some change their minds and others won't. Most times they give permission for our hospice dr to prescribe meds and then we get all the drugs we need to make the pain go away. If regular doctors won't prescribe meds to dying patients, why would they listen to us??? If at all possible, try finding a pain specialist (pain clinic). Since they specialize they are more compassionate and less worried about addiction. And if one doesn't listen, find another. a > so why does anyone care if us old gals get an addiction? if it helps....? geepers. dash > question > > > Hi All, > My pain Dr does treat me like shit. Guest guest
Hi Dash, I totally agree with you . I am 60 and if it takes most of the pain away with out making me in a drug stupor all day I do not care if I get addiction or not. I don't want to be so messed up that I can not have any quality of life. I train and show my dogs. If I can not do that my spirit will die. << so why does anyone care if us old gals get an addiction? if it helps....? geepers. dash<< Carol & dogs ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
