Guest guest
Re: Don't know how to cope - Dani Have you tried deleting white flour from your diet? are u allergic to sulfa or sulfites? not yet, but I've heard that refined foods can cause more pain. Are you aware that carbs can cause the swelling? I'm a carbaolic and have been really going overboard for the last month. It seems as if I can't control myself, but if it will work then I'll give it a try. I did Dr. Atkins last year, not for fibro but for weight loss and now that I think about it, since I went off in the summer, that's when this all started. Talk to me gal. My sister and I have been dealing with this for years and we are winning. I'm so happy you're winning hon, I wanna be on the winning team too. I joined Curves, a womyn's gym, but have only gone a handful of times because of the pain, but I guess I will have to force myself. I'm also almost at the end of a counselling course which is very very stressful but I don't want to quit now with only 6 weeks left. I almost quit last week, but forced myself to go to class. thanks for caring Anya dash ----- Original Message ----- From: Anya To: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 9:03 PM
Guest guest
Hi! Thanks for the speedy response! The thought of deep massage sounds wonderful. I hope it is an option the PT has for me! I know what you mean about it hurting so bad that you don't care what it costs! My chiro visits are $40 and on a low pain day, I think of all of the other things I can do with that $40. On a bad day, the Chiro's office is the only place I care for that $40 to go! Good luck with the social security issue. I have heard that you should apply at least twice. It sounds like they may try to turn everyone down on their first try, so be persistent! Hugs, Sherry
Guest guest
Hi, They do not actually turn everyone down ther first time. My sister got it in a few weeks. My x brother in law got it in 3 months.. my son.......it took 10 years. I am going to be very communicative in my application. Have 7 pages of history written... so they can see the intense history I have. Maybe, God willin I will get it on the first try too. I am just going to give it my best shot and pray about it and see what happens. I will probably get on SS in Jan before it gets done processing but they can put me on ssd anytime. It will cut one more year of $600 a month ins premiums and I wil be on Medicare a year earlier with ssd. I am 61.5 years old, and maybe that will make a difference. dash Dash Hi!
