Guest guest
RE: Self Heating Powder Gizzywizzer@... http://www.todieforsoap.com has it, But beaware its tricky stuff! It must be stored in airtigt containers, or it looses its heating power really fast if its not. and keep away from cold also! I ruined an entire pound by not keeping it in an airtight container! when i went to use it, it wouldnt heat up with the powder on my hand with hot water! zip, nadda, nothing! all because the air got to it for to long! so have something ready to store it in. ive got a huge glass jar i use with an airtight lid. and keep it out of the light also and away from the damp or cold lol sounds like a pain and it is, but its great stuff if you store it right so it works when you want it too! also be warned, it can take around 50% for all recipes, ive tried less, but it dont work well! you need 50% or even more to get a good heat like biores. and work fast, if your making some bulk recipes, add it last and do it fast, and package even quicker! lol a tip i discovered by working with it. if your doing mask or someting along those lines or even massage oils, useing some vegi, glycerin in the recipe helps the powder stay warmer longer. but for muscle rubs, i still say capsicum is the way to go if you want heat! the powder only stays warm, not hot, just slighly warm for a few minutes, so for muscle rubs, its not enough to much good! And the capsicum is cheaper too! but the powder is fun to play with! :0) HTH- gizzywizzer@...

Guest guest
whoops . . .somehow I sent the msg below while editing the post. . . all I was intending to add is that I tried the zeolite the day after I recd it, and at 25% no one could detect any warmth in our lotion bar samples. I will try it at 50% since we have already purchased this, but I at this point if it takes over 50% it might be a little too expensive for my products. also be warned, it can take around 50% for all recipes, ive tried less, but it dont work well! you need 50% or even more to get a good heat like biores. and work fast, if your making some bulk recipes, add it last and do it fast, and package even quicker!
