Guest guest
Kathy, the other thing we think of so often is UTI. Has he been in to the MD for a check on the fall? He may feel safer with one of you there. Or he may be doing " show time " and doing what he think he should if " company " is there. Mom did that all the time. It drove me crazy. I would tell my kids what a problem she was, and they would come over and she would be fine. He does sound like he has some " restless leg " syndrome. That may be why he is jumping up and walking so much. Hugs, Donna R Caregave for Mom (after I brought her from WI to MI) for 3 years and 4th year in a nh. She was almost 89 when she died in '02. No dx other than mine. staying up all night Sometimes I wonder if my dad really knows what he is doing. The reason say this is every so often my dad will have a week of staying up all night. Won't let my mom sleep either. Well a few months ago he went through a bad spell. He had fallen down the stairs and after that he was very disoriented. Couldn't get him to walk, had a hard time moving him. You couldn't understand him. Then after 3 or 4 days he was better. He is doing this again, also for the last 2 days he hasn't sat down, he is pacing, and when he does sit he will all of sudden jump out of the chair. Where most of the time it takes some time for him to get out of the chair. Also he is complaining the entire time. Well last night my brother went over to spend the night so my mom could sleep and my dad slept all night. It seems like when he pulls these all nighters and one of us spend the night he sleeps. It's almost like well " there here so I have to be good " . You wonder if he knows what he is doing. Also wondering if when he gets very disoriented and mumbles and acts even stranger than usual could that be a mini stroke? Kathy
