Guest guest
Dear , Unfortunately, I am a long way from Indy, but wanted to write and tell you how sorry I am that you are having to go through all of this. And I am not sure the Neurontin will provide adequate pain relief... it never has for me, although my body certainly lets me know if I try to go off it. So I guess it does help some. I was dx'd with fibro in 1995 by my internist, and after spending the next 2 years being bouncd from one specialist to another, my internist finally put me on Oxycontin for pain control He was also giving me Lortab for the breakthrough pain, but he has recently cut me off from that, and I hurt so bad at times that I just sit here and cry like a baby. Only a very loving, understanding husband keeps me going. Many days I hurt too bad to even get dressed. I have been on disability since Dec. 97, so I don't HAVE to get dressed if I don't feel like it. I will be praying for you, that you will find a doctor who is willing to treat your pain aggressively. hugs and prayers, Sharon - Memphis, TN Faith...with it, miracles *CAN* and *DO* happen! Guest guest
Hi , I am in Indy. Until yesterday, I had a doctor who gave me pain meds, etc. That was until my insurance decided that they were no longer willing to work with him. His name is J Condit. Of course if you have Cigna for insurance, you won't be able to use him. If on the other hand you don't have Cigna, here is the information: Rheumatology Associates, P.C. & Osteoprosis Center. 8802 N. Meridian Street Suite 108 Indianapolis, IN 46260-5318 (317)844-6444 He perscribed pain medication for me. It didn't really kill the pain, but I did have a " floating " sensation, so I didn't care. If you want, maybe we could talk next week. e-mail me at MarkB59755@... and if nothing else maybe we can chat. Sherry B > Well, I have to say I am really angry right about now. After more > months than I can remember, a " specialist " says I have Fibromyalgia. > I am angry because the Neurontin I take is not supposed to > really " kick " in for a month and no pain meds are being prescribed. > So, again, I find myself playing the " wait-n-see " game. Is there > anyone here in Indy that has a doctor who really GETS fibromyalgia? > I am desperate. And for the record, I do not believe anyone should > have to live this way! Oh, and last- my aunt and dad have this too. > My aunt sent me a book called The Fibromyalgia Advocate...it is so > right on the button about symptoms etc. It has forms to fill out to > take to your doctor and forms they SHOULD have as well! Just getting > into the meat of it but she has experience and recommends it highly. > I hope you are having a good day today!
