Hi Debbie/DJ,

I am beginning to feel better from the surgery, my leg feels the same, I have

not noticed any change in the pain level yet, but my brain is clearing from

the anesthesia. It takes me a while to get over that stuff. It makes me weak

and nauseated too. I have been coughing alot too, gotta watch that because I

had pneumonia about 3 weeks ago. How are you doing? Are you able to walk

yet? I have not walked in almost one year. I walked into the hospital last

October for a surgery that was supposed to have a two week recovery and I

have not walked since. Many, many complications. This is the surgery that

severed the nerve and caused the RSD. I too start P.T. in about two weeks.

It will be great just to get out of the house. I also can not drive. It is

my right foot and ankle and I have no motor control over them. My car is a

stick shift so I can't drive with my left foot! My car is brand new and it

has been sitting here for a year.

I know what you mean about the storms and pain. I think my leg predicts

weather better than the weather man! How is the worker's comp case going? I

hope they do not give you too many problems. I just got approved for social

sec. disability. It's about time! Well, I hope your recovery goes smoothly

and quickly! Love, Jai

Hi Jai,

I am sure you will be feeling better soon, I hope anyway. As far as your car

goes, why not trade it in for an automatic? It would afford you so much

freedom, since it will most likely be an aggravation even when your leg gets

better.

Just a thought, it must be so frustrating to look at a brand new car that you

can't drive. Just ask Jo. I think she has a similar problem.

Anyway It is good to hear that you finally got approved for SS. I have heard

it is a real hassle.

Looking forward to hearing good progress reports form you!

Hugs and a pain free minute,

Deb
