Hi everyone, my name is Peggy. I am newly diagnosed with RSD. I am scared

because I know that it is a terrible frightening disease. I do not have

friends where I live, because I am a loner. I have some good doctors though.

I take oramorph and Ultram for break through pain. I have a wonderful

husband most of the time. He is a big help to me. My doctor has written for

me a prescription for marijuana. Which is still not so legal to do. But if

I get in trouble I can show my prescription. I have been in pain for a long

time. I am not to sure how it really started and I have had so many

injuries. The last being in December when I ruptured my Achilles tendon. I

have heard that reemission is possible but I think it may be to late for me.

I am glad to have a support group that I can come to and tell my troubles

I hope you find a decent doctor soon. I have all kinds of health problems

and it took five years for me to find a decent doctor who would tell me flat

out that I would be in pain for the rest of my life due to other problems

with my back. I take it you live in Conneticut. are you in a small area

where there are hardly any doctors? Do you have health insurance. Is there

an HMO available to you? HMO's provide treatment before the problems start

or are supposed to. I will keep you in my prayers, I hope that is OK. have a

Dear Deb, I wanted to print a member list so I could put everyone in my buddy

Dear Peggy, Welcome to our loving group. I am sure you will like it

here. Like you we have all had a lot of problems with our health. You

are lucky to have good doctors, I have a terrible time trying to get a

Hi Peggy, welcome to the group. I also am new here. They are a great group of

people and I know you will get a lot information and support. I have RSD in

both legs and both feet. I don't many people where I live either. I just

moved here about a year ago. I also have great doctors, finally and a husband

that does treat me like Gold most of the time!!! Feel free to vent here and

to give good news. Tell us a little about yourself, your family, any kids?

Hi Deb. Sorry bout missing the meeting. If it was 8:36 at your house I guess

it was 9:36 at my house. I know something important came up, I just don't

remember what it was. practically all I have on my mind right now is how are

we going to save the house. I got some more bad news and even I paid a lawyer

1000$, he is coming here to my house tomorrow. But it is not looking good. I

told my husband when he got done at noon today to get a newspaper so we can

start looking for a house to rent. That jerk Land guy wants all of our

appliances to stay in here, of course for free. We are not going to do when

we move. Possession is 9 tenths of the law. We just bough 4 new beautiful

appliances that cost us 3 grand. Im alslo taking all our ceiling fans. I will

also wrtie a letter about him to forewarn everyone. We don't find out until

next week if we have a chance but it sure does not look good. Oh well, the

Lord must be trying to move us in another direction. I love our home. It is

something to give up especially because it was trickery. All we can do now is

pray!!!

Dear Lori, Have you thought of getting a hold of a newspaper reporter or

calling the disability agencies in your area and let them all know what

they are doing to you and that you are disabled. There is a lot of help

out there hun if you go looking forward. We have a newpaper we call

everytime something unjust happens or when they closed the pain clinic

with 15 days notice, reporter came to meet with all of us-at least get

some attention for yourself and RSD. You have rights and if you find the

right agency they have lots of money to spend on disabled people. It is

amazing what some people get. I would do something even if it cannot

save your house, you will be able to take whatever you want, they will

help you find a house that is okay for you to get around in or they will

make changes if neccesaary. You are in right situation to raise some

of a sudden. That is bad for me as it hurts to type a lot. Really been

that I get too tired.

Hi Lori,

Debbie is absolutely right! I would cause a huge stink and you are disabled

now. It is too bad that the reality of it all had to come crashing down on

you all together but, sometimes you feel better if you do what you know is

justifiable.

Dear Peggy, Thank you for answering. Yes I live in small heck town in

CT. There were pain clinics in the area, but they have all shut down. I

have medicare and a supplement for insurance. The HMO's available here

right now are in trouble, the biggest one filed bankruptcy. The hard

part about that here is that these doctors around here to not like to

send you to anyone else, it is a hassle for them-poor things. Love,

Dear Debbie, sounds like you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. I

wish there was something that could be done. Its a shame when doctors lose

control over who should get what. I will keep you in my prayers if thats OK.

Hi Deg, we are losing the house but we found one even better with option to

buy. it is right on the lake and I love it. So when this is all over and we

get moved I will write the papers. A very good idea my dear!!!!!!!!!!

I had to order a wheelchair the other day.

It was the hardest phone call I ever had to make. I wish I was ordering new

running shoe in stead.

I am a bit depressed but I will snap out of it I always do.

Hi Felice, I guess the papers I was talking about is answering Mr. Marshall's

charges. One for a bounced check in March which I have attempted to pay 3

times and he wouldn't take it and I have proof of all of those three times so

my lawyer said I should not have any trouble winning that. But I have to type

up all of my proof now and give it to the courts. I already turned in the

papers answering the foreclosure. When you get a notice of foreclosure you

have 20 days to answer. I just made it by 2 days. If that creep goes for the

offer we made to close on this house we will close and then rent this house

out for 1 year. Then after 1 year, sell it. That way it will give us credit

for 1 year for whoever the new owner will be. If we were to sell it now we

would have to use Mr. Marshall as our past creditor for this house and we of

course are not going to do that. I have already did too much today. I am so

sick to my stomach. I got a lot of packing done and 2 rooms ready to go. I

have to go the new house from 1pm to 7pm to wait for the gas man. I have my

car packed full to take over there but I am not looking forward to unpacking

it. My lawyer said that I probably have a good injury case against Mr.

Marshall since because of him my nerves are shot and now have to go to a

Psychiatrist and my stress is probably the reason my RSD has spread to my

feet. I have 7 doctors that said they would sign a paper stating excessive

stress in the home has caused my pain to increase as well as the spread of

the disease. I am waiting now for the lawyer to call back. The lawyer I have

didn't know for sure if I had a case but he was going to call an injury

lawyer and talk it over with him and if I do have a case, then the three of

us will meet. Well gotta go. Thanks for caring.

I know what you mean deb..... when I got my regular one I hate sitting

in it at first but then life was so much easier until my arms came back

with the RSD full force.

It is in NH right now wish I had it so my daughter and I could do more

and boy could I have used it yesterday in downtown Rochester.. The

parking is horrible.

I plan on trying to get an electric one if I can when I see a doctor.

going to make alot of phone calls today if my daughter ever gets up.....

Dear Rene, I am so excited you are here. I miss you so much hun. You are

all going to love this girl as much as I do. She is just one of those

people you want in your life forever. I am so glad to be able to see how
