Guest guest Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Hello, I hope everyone is on track and doing well. Today was HIIT for me. I had a very good workout. It is also my birthday. My honey asked what I wanted to do and as most " celebrations " involve food I have decided to postpone that part till Saturday. I thought, " Oh, come on, it's your birthday. You can have a birthday dinner and a treat. " But then a STRONGER part of me said, " There ya go, give yourself a few thousand calories for your birthday, just what you always wanted! " Well, the smart-ass won, LOL! To all those starting a challenge for the first time: Keep it simple. Go by-the-book as much as your life will let you and give it all you got. You can do anything for 12 weeks, so don't sell yourself short with half hearted workouts and multiple free days. The results will amaze you. I am truly excited for all trying BFL for the first time or after a long time. I can't wait to hear all about your success! Make It Count! Machelle Quote
Guest guest Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 You are right, it's not just about 12 weeks....but you have to start somewhere. I had done C2 without much significant change in BF and I am so proud to say I never gave up. I really feel like C2 got me to a place where I can say, " I am in this for life! " I don't know that I could have looked beyond 12 weeks prior to that. I am still highly motivated to get to " maintenance " mode but I know 5 years from now I will still be working out and eating right. I enjoy the feeling of being healthy WAY too much, LOL!
