I sometimes put the > old message first, sometimes last. Hi . Thanks for asking this question and for giving me the opportunity to answer it for you and other members. When you answer a question you should show the members name that is asking at the top of your reply, with the question. It is also a good idea to leave the date-as above-for people that read their mail on line as this makes it easier for them to follow the thread. Only the relavent information from the member asking the question should be included. All information that is not relavent should be deleted. This not only saves on our archive space, it also makes it much easier for members to read that get their mail in digest form. Additionally, many people in the UK and other Countries pay for Internet access by the minute, and when members don't edit their emails, those other members end up paying extra to download the same information over and over. Sometimes I leave the name of the > originator of the first message, sometimes I don't. I could do to > standardise my replies. I answered this above. However, sometimes you will get a post where you want/need to address different parts of the post. Instead of leaving the post intact, delete the unnecessary parts and leave the questions. Again this is done for the reasons mentioned above. It takes very little time to edit a message properly, but the payback is worth it knowing that you will be blessed by every member that receives their mail in digest form. Not to mention that every member that takes the time to edit properly is doing their part to keep the Internet free from the garbage that contributes to slowing it up. Hope this helps. Pat.
