Don't know. We used to use it on race horses, but at some point it

disappeared from the shelves. Now there are rumors that pure MSM will soon be

regulated and requiring a prescription.

Isn't DMSO banned from skin use in " true " cosmetics? Or is it just not in

pharmaceuticals?

I do not knowing use raw materials that will penetrate below the

Stratum Corneum.

I think using a raw material that penetrates below the Stratum Corneum

is a dangerous thing.

I've heard many claims but little or no substantiation. Emu Oil would

probably be banned from cosmetics if anyone could prove that it

penetrated below the Stratum Corneum.

Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) penetrates into the blood stream in a matter

of minutes.

Brings back memories....DMSO is nothing to play around with. Waaaay back in

the old days when I worked as a vet tech while going to college, we were

required to use DMSO also. I am sorry to say we applied it (as a carrier for

medication) barehanded to doggies with hip problems, etc. As Maurice said, it's

very quickly absorbed into the bloodstream, I remember that I could taste it

very

soon after it was applied. So, we were " treating " ourselves as well as the

doggies :(
