Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am a new member and new to BFL-I bought the book and the journal and started over a week ago. I'd like to lose some weight but I am confused by the weight charts-according to my HMO and my MD I am just right at about 135+ and 5 5 " tall.(I am 45) the chart my MD has says I am at 23% bodyfat....but my bodyfat scale says uh-uh NO way girlfriend!! The scale says 30% without immersion testing-what to believe? if it matters I feel more like the 30%. I used to run almost 4 miles daily-a workout that I really enjoyed. then I developed RA, had to quit running and gained weight cause I kept on eating like I was still running!(who wouldn't?) that was over 2 years ago...and now I can run again. On a treadmill so it's easier on my ankles and feet. AND I found BFL. I don't want to die or age like I see my parents and grandparents did. Unfortunately that's one of my main motivations at my age!! I feel like I am at the halfway mark in my life-and I want to do all I can to ensure that the next half is comfortable and productive for me. Not diminished and restricted.
