Guest guest
~Hello All~ I have read some of the posts about IBS issues, and yeast issues. Someone might have already said these things, but if not I thought they were worth mentioning. If I already did, blame it on the fog. IBS and Immodium. Lots of IBS symptoms can be brought on by stress and antibiotics. There is a product on the market that was recommended by my gastroenterologist. It is called Flora Q. It replaces the natural flora and bacteria in the intestines. My mom has had a huge problem with this and has taken the supplement and it has decreased her IBS/Loose BM issues. You might have to ask behind the pharmacy counter as it is not a big seller right now. I also suggest for those of us doomed to munching a lot of Immodium to check Costco if you have one, or Sams club. Costco has a HUGE box really inexpensively. I have been pleased with it. I was paying a lot more at the local pharmacy. Yeast....I have had issues with this all my adult life. I have found that the Diflucan pill really helps, but has to be taken in rounds of three about three days apart. Of course your physician really needs to inform you about any side effects that it can cause. I also get thrush of all things! My Dr. said no way, but cultured it to make me happy. He was shocked when it came back positive. On a stranger note, if you fight and fight the yeast issue, you need to look if you have a partner who you are intimate with. If my hubby in the summer gets a touch of jock itch he has to be treated at the same time or we just pass it back and forth. It can be difficult for both of you to get rid of it. Even a nice snuggle is enough to pass it on for me. (Now you can imagine me with my can yelling hands up Mr.) LOL! Blessings!
