Guest guest Posted September 12, 2005 Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 Hello all, I am slowly getting the hang of this pregnancy thing and absorbing all the " don'ts " . Don't get me wrong - i was pretty clear on the major ones to begin with like smoking, drinking, caffeine, drugs (Over the counter ones, not illegal ones) etc but I am still learning some of the ones that are not as well-known. Seems like every week I read about something else I should avoid. I am now avoiding microwaves, lunchmeat, soft cheeses, foreign cheeses, molded cheeses, certain face products, food possibly cooked with alcohol (not true that alcohol cooks out of food - especially with flambeeded items!) etc. My new thing to avoid is certain artificial sweetners - namely Ace K and Aspartame. I have continued drinking Myoplex lite shakes in the morning and I need to order something new. The Myoplex Lite I had used sucralose for an artificial sweetener but I think I had read on here that they are using Ace K now. Anyway, I am looking for a nutrition breakfast item like the Myoplex lite shakes that uses sucralose - also known as Splenda - for a sweetner. Any ideas? It doesn't necessarily have to be in shake form. I read that someone puts protein powder in oatmeal and that is something that I could try too. Thanks for your help!
