You don't really need to use Myoplex at all... a good protein powder

will do ya just fine. You just need to add a carb to make it BFL-

balanced.

I use Myoplex once every few days because: 1) I like the flavor, and

2) It's basically a complete " meal " that is convenient if I am rushed

(or sometimes just don't have an appetite, but know that I need to

eat *something*). You can get it a lot cheaper than retail at

www.netrition.com.

I use protein powder a lot more frequently than Myoplex because it's

more versatile and I can eat my carb in whole food rather than

drinking it. I mix it into oatmeal, or shake it up with some water

and eat a carb on the side. Again, you can get this cheaper from

online sources than you can buy it retail.

Some good straight protein powder (little to no carbs) options:

1) Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein

2) EAS MyoPro Whey (used to be called Simply Protein) or Precision

Protein (a little pricier but I like this one best)

3) Next Nutrition's Designer Protein

4) Labrada ProV60

Hinds Mom To,

Really? More than what? A meal? Other shakes?

I've recently tried some of the Optimum Nutrition and they turned out to

be more expensive per shake. The Myoplex hovers around $1.10 per shake

versus ~$1.50.

Better? ...I'm not an expert. But, I think they're fine.

BTW, kindly record your name to posts. Thanks.

Thanks , What I saw at the GNC was the protein in a jar was

$10 and the myloplex for same servings $37 - that was the

difference. I do not know why, but perhaps the Myloplex has more

vitamins/nutrients added I'm guessing.

Thanks Jen for the recommendations on protein powders.

Ugh! Run like the wind from GNC protein... it is really disgusting.

Tastes like chocolate sand. I'm not kidding. :P There's that

saying " You get what you pay for " and believe me, never truer words

were spoken when referring to certain protein powders.

Cheers,

Jen B.
