DMSA/DMSO: Coastal vs. Lee Silsby

Below are two threads from January on DMSA. In the last two rounds of DMSA,

it seems that my son has become sensitive to the Coastal DMSA.

On the round before last, he was spending the night at a friend's house

(they are also chelating their son) and DMSA was applied to his tummy (which

I have never done). His tummy immediately become red and he cried.

I have only applied DMSA on his shins, top of feet, top of thighs or back

(vascular areas). When he came home I did the next application on one of

those areas, he complained, but it wasn't a big deal. So I thought maybe

just the tummy was a problem area.

But on the last round, he became absolutely didn't want the DMSA applied

saying, " There's needles in there! It hurts! " It's stinging him, so we

didn't finish the round.

Additionally, from a qualitative viewpoint, I do not think we've gotten the

big jumps developmentally as we did from AMT DMPS or Lee Silsby DMSA. I

don't know if there is an actual correlation between the various chelators

or coincidental. Maybe some kids dump more metals in the beginning?

Anyway, I'll give it another try with Lee Silsby to see if the transdermal

is better tolerated and if it makes a difference in his developmental

trajectory. At this point in my son's development, he is moving quickly, so

any intervention must make a big bang for us to see the difference.

I'd be interested to hear anyone else's opinion on the difference you've

seen in using different TD chelators.

TIA, Lynne
