Guest guest
Hi Deb, How are you today? Is the lidocaine making any difference yet or is it still too soon to tell? I have been wondering why my anesthesiologist advised against this for me. I go to a new anesthesiologist associated with a pain management program at one of the other local hospitals Monday and I am feeling a little apprehensive. All these new doctors and their new ideas are making me nervous. Maybe it is just that I understand more now from reading the letters from you all how easily the RSD can get worse. Mine has not gotten worse in the past from surgical intervention and I hope that stays true for the future. The headache finally went away Monday afternoon and I was able to eat something for the first time since Saturday afternoon. I am 5'10 " tall and only weigh 116 lbs. so it is not like I have any spare weight hanging around to get rid of! My doctors tell me all the time that if I had more padding my nerves wouldn't get irritated so easily in my leg. What with the atrophy now it is really skinny! I hope it was a coincidence that I got a headache the day after I started the provera! I sure don't want to go through that again! I have had migraines that last for 4 - 5 days the past 6 months or so but they were not as bad as that last one! I did have some leftovers for lunch and they were wonderful. Especially mom's sweet potato casserole! I went to a friend's house Monday afternoon and put together a gas grill for her as I am the mechanical one. I guess I overdid it as my legs have been very achey and burning since then. I guess it was all that sitting on the ground and then getting up that did it. The tops of my thighs are still on fire, especially the good leg! I don't understand that but that is how it is. I would think the RSD leg would hurt more. Anyway, I am going for a long bike ride today as the rain has finally stopped and I am going to work out this pain! Take care, DJ/Debbie ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access! Try it today - there's no risk!
