Background

Ladies,

I've gotten several messages already asking about . I will give you a

little background about the situation and I apologize for not being more clear

in my initial message.

A good number of the ladies on this list were former members of the now defunct

VulvodyniaList. VulvodyniaList was stemmed off of Dr. Glazer's Vulvodynia.Com

website and the list was run by . To sum things up in my own words

(and opinion) had the tendency to treat listmembers harshly and unfairly.

Because of this, some of the listmembers tried to 'stick up' for themselves, to

no avail. In the end, the VulvodyniaList was deleted without any real warning

or preparation to the women (over 200) who had been a part of it. Many of these

women had really felt that the VulvodyniaList was their " life link " and were

lost without it, which is why I created the VulvarDisorders list.

It is no secret that I have had my share of negative encounters with

who has attacked me publicly and privately in his email messages. It is my

opinion that he is an individual who is merely trying to profit off of the

misery of women such as ourselves. I honestly can say that I have not one

positive thing to say about , and I try to be very forgiving, loving and

open to all people. , however, has never made any type of apology for the

way he has treated me in the past and I'm quite sure he never plans to. Again,

this is based on my opinion and the opinions of listmembers who have voiced them

privately to me. There may well be members who think that is an

upstanding professional, but to be honest, I have not heard from any of them.

This however, is no reflection on Dr. Glazer (an associate of ,

and the owner of the current Biofeedback mailing list. Since the VulvodyniaList

has been shut down, I have had several discussions with Dr. Glazer and have

found him to be understanding, humble and truly concerned about the patients

that he treats and the research that he pursues.
