Hi ,

My Primary care doctor told that and so did my neursurgon. any stretching

bending would cause more damage until I am detethered.

I wish I could find something in writing but I don't have anything.

You're so incredibly lucky! I spent OVER EIGHT MONTHS in physical therapy

for my back pain because they promised me that it would help. I endured

three sessions a week because I was told that a " little " pain now would

help me to be painfree later. After eight months, I was asking my doctor

about it and she told me that she would keep ordering the physical therapy

for another month or two, but told me that it wasn't likely to help, since

I tried it for so long and gotten no results, but I wanted to believe the

promises that had been made so much. I wanted to believe that I could be

healed*.*

At first I didn't think PT was helping me and some of it hurt! (A bit, and

sore afterwards) But they watched me closely and listened to my feed back

and I've really been seeing and feeling some consequences. Even my overall

pain level seems to be lower. I still have my days though!

Slow but sure!

Good luck to you.

Peace and Love,

Byron

Steve,

Because of this group, I was made aware of 'The Harms Done By GET and CBT'.

I had used this group before and was well pleased

and got along great afterwards until Sjögren's

hit me. So I went into it this time well aware to

be wary and I let them know that I had read these

articles and was concerned and they have been

very responsive to my needs. All my muscles,

skin, joints hurt, I am weak and have no stamina.

If I speak, they listen and drop the exercise or

modify the approach and they are actually quite intuitive.

Walking is the one thing that would probably help

my back the most, but the dryness, weakness, sun

sensitivity, Etc, have really cramped my style.

Plus I'm too 'whatever' to even use the treadmill

right here in my living room, facing my HD TV, like being out doors!

When I was hiking for my health, my partner would

be getting tired and start saying 'this is far

enough, let's rest and turn around and head back'

and I'd be the one to say 'let's just check around that next bend up there!'

I went through several types of pain clinic

epidurals until they got to the 36 injection

Trigger Points part and I told my neurologist

that if the other three methods hadn't helped, I

sure didn't see any reason to go with that! And he agreed.

If you reach the point where you might find a

willing mind to give therapy another try, I'm

sure you'll look around and find one that might

be truly helpful. I really just want to give up

and have a Demerol pump installed, but they keep telling me they won't do that.

Thanks for speaking up.

Peace and Love,

Byron
