LBD In-Service

Hi All,

I am very excited. The admin. staff at my husband's nh have asked me to do an

inservice on LBD and my experiences with my husband. I have handed out so much

information there over time on LBD and I recently had to start over, because

there has been a turn over of admin. staff and nurses, so they asked me to do an

inservice on the week of Aug. 18.

I am glad they are showing an interest. I still get CNAs thinking Jim has

Alzheimers and when his fluctuating cognition shows up for a day and he knows

their names they get totally amazed and come running to tell me. They seem in a

fog about LBD when I tell them my husband has LBD. They look at me a little

strange. I don't think they have ever heard of it, but now they will! I don't

know where all the documents and brochures go that I hand out there, but

obviously they are not communicated to the CNAs.
