Guest guest
I'm a new member here, relating to a lot of what I've been reading this week. My roommate e-mailed me the NYT article from earlier this month. She totally saw me when she read it. It's been so reassuring to know I'm not just oversensitive. I'm still having the " Aha! " moments, and I'll probably post some more as I process (ha ha) this new topic. Thanks!
Guest guest
I don't have any experience with meds, but I have been looking into a product someone on this site recommended recently. You may have seen the post, but, if not, here is a link to a site that offers a variety of white-noise and ear-piece products: http://www.earplugstore.com/sleepeze1pair.htmlMy concern with something like this is the product's actual effectiveness. Thought I posted, but do not see it here. New member, first post and happy to find this group! I have been going crazy with my noise sensitivity for several years. I am not sensitive to particular noises, but to ANY and ALL noises and especially if there is so much my body cannot process it all. I get overwhelmed and anxiety sets in and I have to isolate myself to the most quiet part of house and wear headphones. I have to avoid my own wife and kids..its horrible. What can I do? I do have anxiety, depression and recently diagnosed with adult ADHD and PTSD and on 3-4 meds that are helping in several ways. Are there particular meds that can help more then others? Guest guest
Hi Anxious! I find if I can get outside at all, it does seem to help some. If I can go for a walk by the time I get back I feel better. I know that's impossible to do at any time, but maybe if you try that when you do get the time that might help your situation a little bit.
