Guest guest
Surgeons that perform operations to " cure " chronic illness are first and foremost business people. They are a sad group of people that somehow continue to dupe millions of Americans every year. Gall bladder surgery is one of the most ridicules surgeries every conceived! The gall bladder is NOT the problem. Sure, it may be full of stones but the real concern is: Where did the stones come from? They came from the liver! Another good question: How did they get in the liver? Simple. The stones where formed as a result of the processes, hydrogenated, refined, etc. " foods " we put in our body. As we all know, Food is Our Medicine. And it can also be our poison. The gall bladder and liver can be cleansed in the comfort of your home for around $15 in apple juice (or food grade malic acid for Candida sufferers), epsom salt, grapefruit juice and extra virgin olive oil - all products being organic. Here's the kicker - Until we get our organs clean (i.e. liver, kidneys, colon) our Candida problem is more than likely to return. I wish food was enough. But there are bigger things at stake here. Our organs need our help! Wishing you Health, PS I hope this makes sense... It took me awhile to realize (stubbornly) that the right food was not enough. You see, when our colon is lined with encrusted fecal matter, and our liver (with over 500 important functions) is filled with stones it's almost impossible for our body to absorb and benefit from the good food we put in it. I stumbled on to s Moritz from the " Success Files " in this forum. Shortly thereafter I bought his book " Timeless Secrets to Health and Rejuvenation " and my Candida problem has taken big turn for the better! Guest guest
Gallbladder warning. doctors were all fired up to treat my candida symptoms by removing my gallbladder. They'd been wanting it for years. I got infinitely worse aftr the surgery. And the pain killers, muscle relaxers and antacids the surgeon put me on caused my health to crash. I was only able to make progress using the candida diet, and I wish I'd never met the man. Also, docs like to take out your gallbladder even if you don't have gallstones, an infection or abnormal amylase, lipase an white blood cell count. They really just like to take it out whenever possible because it's their bread and butter. The surgeon really did me a disservice in refusing to let me get upper and lower GIs before the surgery. It turned out I had diagnosable gastritis and IBS (all inflammatino related) causing the pain he tried to treat with surgery. I feel betrayed and angry, in debt, to have been thrown off track, and have permanent scars on my belly. > You are right. > > We are sick because our liver and gall bladder is congested with stones. Guest guest
I have severe pain. Have had it for going on 4 months. It was very severe on the first day it started and today it is much worse. The pain is left sided in my groin, thigh and back. I cannot put weight on my left leg so my foot has swollen. I cannot straigthen out my leg because the pain is too severe. So can't walk. Can't sit for long because, or sleep in my bed because the pain is too severe. I thought the pain was because of some kind of problem with my digestion because at the same time it happened, I, all of a sudden could not eat anything without it making the pain worse! I did not have an accident of any kind. I finally am believing that I have 2 problems going on. I went to the ER and had lots of x-rays and then found a doctor and he had me do a CT scan (last Fri). Right now it is believed I have a pinched nerve. I am awaiting the results. I am afraid they are going to tell me something awful like I need to have something taken out! Don't know what I will do because right now my life is over until something gets done. Del > > You are right. > > > > We are sick because our liver and gall bladder is congested with > stones. Guest guest
Been there, Del: Doubled over in the ER, unable to straighten up to full height because of the pain, wondering if I had cancer or my intestine was choked with an impaction, or if my problems had got so bad they had turned my immune system against me and I had a bonafied disease. However, after that bad experience in the ER, and no real explanation from the doctors, I made an appointment with my candida specialist, and drove a state away to see him even though I was in agonizing pain. Glad I did. My tests came back: simple food allergies and a high amount of mercury, nickel and copper (probably from all the fish I ate) and also leftover from taking out the amalgum tooth fillings. Turns out my inflammation was a result of eating several foods that rile my immune system and send it into full mutiny, explaining not only the pain in the stomach and gut, but in the joints and large muscle groups. I don't know what you have, but I now know why my candida diet was the only thing that was helping me with my pain: the foods on it happen to be a lot of the foods I'm allergic to. Coincidence? No. They are highly inflammatory foods. If you're body is experieincing shock and allergic inflammation, of course you're going to hurt. I'm a lot better now, recovering solidly, although having respiratory distress. And I did it mainly by cutting out inflammatory foods. Now that I know what I'm allergic to, I'm feeling even better because I know better than to eat specific foods that cauase my body to produce histamine and swell up to the point it can't eliminate toxins properly or digest properly. > > > I have severe pain. You do need some protein, but that is attainable without meat. It is much easier to eat healthy, now, with more organic food available. There are companies, now, that even deliver packaged whole foods directly to your door. It isn't tough to do. Once my body started getting whole foods, I didn't even crave the junk. Guest guest
You are going to get tons of email....but where are you having surgery? My daughter had surgery same day as me in Kirkland early May and she lives in Oly too. The best reference is Jessie's book...available on Amazon.com or from their office in Kirkland where she works. We are so lucky to have her as our local expert...and she works with the surgeons I went to. Montgomery and Watkins. Great reference....very specific about the diet, too. Guest guest
Hi Faith, The reason why you feel good when you eat the way you normally eat is because you are not upsetting things in your system. Here is an example of what I mean, I train horses for a living, sometimes they get quite spoiled by their owners. They will walk there horses down the path and the horse leads the way stopping and eating grass wherever they want, this being very rude! This is not acceptable to me, and when I start to modify the behavior, almost always it gets much worse before getting better. I have had sweet loving horses strike at me, try to kick with their hind feet, knock me down, bolt off, all just because I was trying to modify the behavior. The owners are always shocked because they say there horse has never acted that way. this is becasue they have never tried to make their horse follow a certain rule. In training there is a short time of bad, then it gets better, then sometimes another short bad period and then really good an stays good. This is exactly what has happend to you. When you leave things alone you feel good, now if I were to question you intesnly about your health, I bet I could find many complaints, but basically you go along and feel good. Then the diet comes and everything is disrupted and you feel like crap. Candida gets very angry when it is being starved of its favorite food. Things will get worse before getting better. You can chose how fast you go into it. FOr me and my husband we did not follow a candida diet, but a low glycemic diet. They are very similiar in that the low glycemic diet says to stay away from foods that will spike your insulin. The things we ate and still do eat, are organic meats, lots of organinc vegies, almost no fruit except apples and berries. We do eat organic dairy and sprouted grains. We do eat pasta once in awhile. We did this in conjuction with a full supplement program including Ambrotose that has been talked about. We also used digestive enzymes and pro-biotics. I have never eaten much food that would feed Candida, but I was always on antibiotics due to my illness and this caused the good bacteria to be gone. Both husband and I are symptom free from any of our many problems, candida being one of them especially for me, but also my husband. I will send you a questionaire to your private email, then I can offer some help as to what might best help you. Guest guest
Ahhhh…hope the bear still shows up! Have been away and am getting to the old posts! Debby [ ] Diet Yes.before my transplant I drank A LOT of Green Tea...I also drank a little herbal teas..but mostly the Green Tea. teas...mostly decaf...but that was just because I do not want caffeine.I was NEVER told by my liver dietician not to drink it, but then I had said I didn't drink it..... Chocolate...sure !!! ,.just not too much as it is high in fat..that is only reason...chocolate is good for increasing your dopamine levels so you feel happier. I have read that ONE OUNCE of dark chocolate is good for your cholesterol..so I still eat it daily just like a med.. I was put on a regular healthy diet...meat, fish, veggies, fruits, yogurt, cheese.....basically the American Heart Assoc. Diet. I was to limit snack foods that were not helping my health...so as not to fill up on junk and have less room for good stuff.. Alcohol...never ever.not even for a treat. BUT, there are several brands of non-alcoholic wine and beers out there..those are fine. And.again the alcohol free red wine is also good for your trigliceride (cholesterol) levels. I too drank cranberry juice with apple juice.....and each morning I drank a glass of warm water with a good long squirt of lemon juice in it...this was first thing upon waking. Very helpful in cleansing... don't know about the liver but is probably good for our kidneys and bladder to help prevent infections...Not sure. I live on 11 acres on top of a mountain...surrounded by National Forest....we have bears, deer, moose etc...a bit of everything. I had a cow moose visit me three times this spring...she was so sweet. But then some jerks came from another town and scared her away... grrrrr I haven't seen my bear this spring so think she has either been killed or moved....probably killed. Joanne C. Group Rules 1. Guest guest
Hi , It is so good to hear from you. I was wondering how you were doing. Do you like it, other than the food? I am sure it is culture shock. I think you are so courageous to do something like this. I never would. I like my creature comforts too much. Are you in the country or in a city? What is the weather like? It snowed here yesterday, just a little, but enough to cause everyone to slide off the road because it was the first snow. Today it was around 45 and it really has been a mild fall. Tell us more about the area. Regards, Sharon (Ontario) Canada Diet Irene I have a different type problem. I have absolutely NO idea what I am eating most of the time. I eat 95% of my meals in a restaurant and the food is Chinese food. Western type food is much too expensive in China. The meat, when there is minimal at best. Tofu I eat all I can get when it's served. Rice is a mainstay of the diet here, small servings of vegetables, tiny servings of meat and half a tray of rice. I can buy roasted sweet potatoes from the street vend ors, but they are just ok. I have no cooking facilities in my room but I have a fridge. We do get hard boiled eggs for breakfast, so I know what I am eating for breakfast. I usually have 1 hard boiled egg, 1 orange and 1 triangle of soft cheese (expensive Swiss process cheese). I eat lots of greens as they are available or part of most meals. Beef is hard to get, pork is plentiful and chicken is also plentiful except in provinces that have killed all the chickens due to bird fl u. One of my friends up north said no chicken and no eggs are available in her province right now. I try and buy the soup with mung-bean noodles rather than the wheat noodles. Anyhow, I thought I would interject this into the thread as I have 8 more months till I come back to Canada. I had a hamburger and fries last night as a sort-of treat, but the meat wasn't really meat or hamburger as I know it. It was mixed with something and only looked like hamburger. First/last time for that plus it cost 10 times what a Chinese dinner costs at the University cafeteria. I could buy roasted meat from the street vendors, but what the meat is ??? how clean is it??????? Cleanliness is only a requirement in North America. In the school cafeteria, you can watch the cockroaches crawling on the walls in the kitchen. The staff don't even notice them. I did bring lots of homeopathic remedies with me. I am also getting accupuncture and massage from a Dr. 3X/week for my back and knee. He comes to my room. Costs me 50Y per visit which is $8.00 CDN or $6.25US. Next term, I may be out at the new campus and will have a small kitchen. Microwave, rice cooker and hotplate. But the room is small and the bathroom is sooooo tiny you can sit on the throne and take a shower at the same time. In China the bathrooms are often a 'wet bathroom'. This means the floor is tiled and the drain is on the floor. When you take a shower the entire bathroom gets wet. Irene de Villiers <furryboots@...> wrote: janetlee wrote: > I've been reading Natural Cures " they " Don't Want You to Know About and he > seems to think any kind of packaged foods will make you acidic, that food > additives are the biggest culprit. I do not buy that. Depends entirely what's in the package of course, and they are not all full of additives, even if there were acidifiers involved. (You would look for things like citric acid on the label.) Your body will be too acid if you are not well, especially if you eat too little protein. Acidic body is caused by lack of proper metabolic power, as in protein and antioxidants, or by too much inflammatory food as in starch, saturated fat, grains and sugars. Heartburn is a separate issue and is more a *result* of acidic body than a cause. It's due to being too unhealthy to produce digestive juices in the right proportions and/or inappropriate food in the first place - or as in my case due to a metabolic health problem. My case as an example of mechanism: My body is very acidic, because of metabolic disease. I produce stress hormone from tumours and it breaks down muscle. That causes heartburn unless I adjust my diet to counter that acidity: So to counter that I get 45% of my calories from protein every day, and 45% from good fat, with only 10% from carbs. If I mess with that ratio, especially if I get less protein, or if I fail to remove saturated fat and replace with beneficial ones like EVO, fish oil and some beneficial nuts, I will get MORE acidic. This is so despite the fact that beef (my main protein) needs a lot of acid to digest well. Provided I stick to type O foods exclusively, I get no heartburn, but if I eat so much as a crumb of cookie or cake with wheat in it, or bacon on a hamburger, or cheese etc, I shall have indigestion and gastric reflux " for Africa " . I also get gastric reflux any day my calories from protein drop below 45% of my total cals for the day. So if I want to eat cake at my birthday party for example, I have to get very high protein elsewhere that day - like a big sirloin steak eaten at two separate sittings 3 hrs apart (small meals are easier to digest and have enough acid for the job) and salmon, cheese and egg at another meal, then I can " afford " to eat a slice of pumpkin pie and a slice of cake at my party. I will still get 45% of my calories from protein that day. I can drop to 41% I find, on one day only but not to say 38%. I would highly recommend to anyone, that to be healthy one needs to find the optimal protein intake for you as a percentage of your total calories - and to avoid the inflammatory foods, and stress healthy fats. In my practice as a homeopath, I use these principles to get great success with all kinds of animal species. Each individual has an ideal ratio of percentage protein in their calorie total. Second most relevant is percentage cals from fat (hence also carbs as the one left.) But getting protein right first - and using the right kind of course - works every time to get a major step forward in health - works in all animal species. As to heartburn, the only concern is that I make ENOUGH acid. I find if I eat mainly food on the beneficial list, I can make enough acid. If you make too little acid to digest protein, you WILL get " acid reflux " from LACK of acid. That happens because food stays in your stomach instead of getting digested, waiting for you to make enough acid for the job. It will try to digest but if you lack acid the food with some acid will sit there, perhaps make gas, which burps along with what little acid you had that was insufficient for the job. Alternatively you can be in the situation where you have eaten too many vegetables, and your body uses alkali for thos - which also burps up and burns the same as acid does - you can not FEEL the difference between alkali burn and acid burn - it feels the same. So the real answer is to ensure that you eat mainly foods from the beneficial list of O foods, and TOTALLY avoid things not in your blood group. If you still get heartburn I'd be surprised - I lost mine altogether in a week flat. But if you do still have problems, then it is time to eat digestive enzymes and acid with meals to help your system catch up with making enough acid for what you eat. Don't get protein from plants - get it from beef and other beneficial meats. Plants skew your immune system and cause worse health conditions - especially avoid soy protein. Nuts are good, but go slowly and not too many at a time and only the good ones - no peanut butter! > Eating organic meats, fruits and > vegetables will leave you alkaline and juicing is especially good. I don't agree. Fruit and fruit juice is very inflammatory due to the sugar, and in my view should be omitted until the situation is fully healed. Then they can be added slowly, in small amounts as whole fruit eaten at meals with high protein. In the meantime healing antioxidants can be had from spinach, collard greens, kale, dandelion greens, beet greens, asparagus, mushroom, tomato, green pepper, red pepper, turmeric, parsley flakes, onion, garlic, oregano, chilli, curry, paprika, nori, and so on. >>Be kind to dragons, for thou art crunchy when >>roasted and taste good with ketchup. The latitude is close to southern Georgia but the weather is colder in the winter. It is about +12C today. The only problem is the classrooms are not heated so the students all wear long-johns, shirts, sweaters and coats to class. I wear a fleece jacket over a T-shirt in class and take my coat off. I keep asking the students what they will wear when it gets COLD as it is only cool right now. When the complain too loudly, I take the fleece jacket off. Then they took pictures of me in my T-shirt next to a girl in a coat with a big scarf around her neck. There are palm trees here. They say that some winters it snows but if it does, the snow melts very quickly. Because of the humidity, some of the teachers think that it feels colder then Ontario but I'm not sure. I think it is the fact we are teaching in an unheated building. I got a down coat/jacket custom made for me at a taylor shop. It cost 250RMB which is about $40.00. I love Chinese food so eating the local fare is no hardship for me. I can even pick up jello with chopsticks. Jello is actually easier than soft tofu, but I can pick that up also. I have been eating with chopsticks since I was a teenager so I didn't have a learning curve like some of the teachers. Sharon Ferris <sharonferris@...> wrote: Hi , It is so good to hear from you. Regards, Sharon (Ontario) Canada ----- Original Message ----- --------------------------------- FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
Intestines did a bit of a flip-flop the first couple of weeks. Once the new bacteria, etc. got settled in things were ok. I had to be careful to stay close to usable toilets at first. Chinese public toilets are 'squatters'. There aren't too many 'western type thrones' here. You have to carry a pack of tissues, because toilet paper isn't supplied. My health is generally good. Most of my students have colds and seem sick most of the time but so far (knock on wood) I've been fine. (except for the 2 days of " Mao's revenge " ) " J. It is common for phenol intolerance, but can also be yeast overgrowth, certain supplements, and certain nutritional deficiencies. If it were my kiddos....I would take out each one of these things and see if there were an allergy involved...for mine....it would be the egg and the buckwheat. These two I understand are fairly common allergens.... I would try the chicken and potatoes for a couple days...not fun I know...and then add in the buckwheat or egg....just one....and see how that goes....pink cheeks are also a sign...at least in my kiddos of food intolerance or allergy. If the kids are allergic to the food...sometimes the enzymes won't help....so this is something you might want to try... I wish you God's speed in finding your answer...I know how hard it is....we have been there and are sometimes doing that. Ronni
