Your family really has been in the wars these past few years. I do hope that the motor cycle incident doesn't have lasting repercussions & that your wife & mother in law recover soon.

On a bright note, so far as I am concerned, I also have had an accident. Fell down a steep slope on my land with my chainsaw & rolled about fifty yards to the bottom hitting various trees on the way. Nothing broke, NOTHING; so Zoladex can't have had too bad an effect on my bones over the past three years!!

Best wishes, , Mid-Wales

God , that was a bit close. Hope the chain saw stopped. We too have 28 acres of woodland. I don't get any sympathy any longer since my wife caught me staggering through the wood with something like a 20 foot, 150 pound pole on my tumour riddled shoulder !

Others complain about hormone treatment but this is what I can do again after taking Zoladex, Casodex, Proscar and a bisphosphonate plus calcium citrate. Mother nature is so uplifting and to be able to work in the woods with multiple metastases is ten fold more important to me than, hot flushes, low libido and two pukey looking hairless legs !! I do appreciate others have a hard time.

All the best,

Somerset

Inspiring stuff .

Multiple spinal mets, five years of Zoladex with 2+ years of Fosamax and I'm down the gym again. I'm getting stronger and much fitter and I lost 23 pounds in four months. I didn't think it was possible. Last Easter I couldn't get up Helvellyn with my mates for the fisrt time and decided to do something about it. Camped at Langdale in October and got up on Stickle. Yippee.

I hope this helps some - I know it's not possible for everyone.
