Guest guest
Hi - dr. Royo is good. I don't know which surgery you are refering to about the cut, but if you mean tethered cord- TCI doesn't make a huge incision for that. Technologically TCI has more monitoring devices at their finger tips I.e- electrophysiologists that monitor your nerves during surgery. Dr. Milhorat was like the chairman for the national institutes for health here in the US which is like the gold standard for the entire country. He is world reknown for the tethered cord surgery and how he does it less invasively than most other options. I am a general practitioner here in NY and I lived in Spain- I have to be honest, seeing a US doctor for this would be my first option and then maybe seeking a second opinion elsewhere would be second. TCI has done well over 2500 of these surgeries, with a huge positive turn out rate. You should research this before having anyone cut into you. Also, I don't know what OFT means? At TCI it's called tethered cord release or detethering. I am 4 days post op and recovering on schedule. Good luck- but I definitely soul not rule out TCI- my honest opinion is that they may very well be the best in the entire world. Much luck- Traci 4 days post op in long island by Sent from my iPhone
