Guest guest
LeavesHello everyone, Well, I am in the process of trying to get my Workmens Comp case re-opened. I am beginning to think it is going to take an actual act of God to get this thing going. I originally injured my back and had my first back surgery in 1996, second surgery in 1998, and third in 1999. I supposedly had life time medical on my back injury. Yeah, right. I moved to NY in 2000 and six months later needed another back surgery, but am not a candidate because of Arachnoiditis from extensive scar tissue. The WC insurance company refused my claim as we went round and round back in 2000. I recently called up the Texas Workers Comp Commission, they are over the insurance company. They were so nice there. They said that all I had to do was change doctors and that the insurance company could not keep me from seeing a doctor up here and that they would do everything they could to help me. Well, the doctor I see here upstate refused to take on my WC case. I guess he is worried that he wont' make his usual half a million this year. I called all the doctors on the list that the TWC sent me and none of them will take my case. Great. My only hope is my primary doctor that I had in NYC for a long time. I think he will work with me, but it is a 3 hour drive for me to go into see him. He is currently working on the paper work for me to get an electric wheel chair, so I feel that I have a good chance of him taking on this WC case. He is one of those few doctors that are doctors because they are compassionate and want to help people. I needed samples once and he even took me out to his car and gave me samples that I presume he was using. He knows that I have to pay cash for all of my meds, which workmens comp shoud of been paying for all of these years. I would be a rich man if by some chance they had to reimburse me for all of my expenses. Sorry for the long rant. I am just aggravated today, but have hope that my old doc in NYC will help me out. Guest guest
Hello all, Thanks for the prayers and best wishes from everyone. I talked to my doc in NYC today and he wants me to come in Thursday. He said no problem at all for him to sign the WC papers. He is also signing off on the paperwork so I can get an electric wheelchair. He is such a compassionate doctor. If anyone in the NYC area needs a good doc feel free to email me off list and I will gladly provide you with his name and phone number. His specialities are Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
