Guest guest
, I have very similar symtoms as you. No surgery for me either. I think in the long run we are better off than those who have it. I have seen too many messed up. Don't know what to tell you. I know how hard it is to live with a mess like that but you have to take a deep breathe and keep going. The disability will help. Now you can work around your pain staying home. HOw long has it been since you hurt yourself? I am truly sorry and wish I could offer some advise but I just keep pushing myself everyday too. Good luck and Gods Blessings. donna
Guest guest
, Have you looked into the electric device which is implanted under your skin... it uses electricity to interrupt the pain signals in your spinal cord. Here is an article about electroanalgesia: http://www.emedicine.com/pmr/topic206.htm Another choice is an implantable morphine pump. It puts the morphine where it is needed. This company sells both products: http://www.medtronic.com/hic/pain.html This site has an article about how Jerry was in intractable pain and now uses one of the neurostimulation devices. I don't have the right kind of pain, so I can't speak about how these things work. But it sounds like you might be helped by this. I'm had my stimulator since 2000 and it works great for my leg pain. I just got my intrathecal pump in Oct. and it is too soon to tell about it but I got good results with my trial of it. Let me know if I can help. Ann/Pa
