Guest guest
I suspect my doc has given me a placebo in the place of methadose. How do I find out? Thanks, Joan

I'd take a pill to a different pharmacy and ask them if they can tell what it is. Dix
Guest guest
Joan, Did you get the medication from the doctor? Or did he write a prescription and you took it the the pharmacy? If it came from the pharmacy and the prescription says Methadone, then that is what it is... If you got it from the doctor and it came in a box/container that says Methadone than say this isn't working for me... And ask, point blank, did someone make a mistake and give me a placebo instead? Because I know this drug should help my pain, but my pain is getting worse. don't be afraid of confronting doctors... Also, a lesson I learned a long time ago, unless you can not afford it, do not take drugs from doctors offices, insist on a prescription and go to a pharmacy! Guest guest
Dear Beckka, He gave me a scrip but I am positive it was not methadone. Batesville is a small town so I figured he called the pharmacy after I left. I am shaking to bad right now I can't type. Thanks for info. I will call his offfice and ask him. Do you think that will get a honest reply. I don't think I will go back to him. Gratefully, Joan drseuss8675 wrote: don't be afraid of confronting doctors... Guest guest
Joan, I try to think the best of people, but for a schedule one narcotic which methadone is... The pharmacist must prescribe precisely what was ordered. No changes can be made over the phone... Does your prescription bottle say methadone? Have you checked out what the pill looks like compared to what methadone is supposed to that dosage? I wish I could help more!
