I was put on dilantin 2 years ago when diagnosed and thank G-d I have not had another seizure. My first seizure 2 years ago put me in a coma for 3 days. My dilantin levels are checked every 90 days to make sure it does not happen again. Guest guest Posted November 18, 2004 Report Share Posted November 18, 2004 hi yes i have uncontrolled epilepsy...i am getting the device this wed...i also have lupus,tia.histoplasmosis,asthma,gastroporisis,oa,neurogenic bladder,diviculitis,ibs,and osterporisis..on top of ms and seizures..oh i forgot essantial tremors and pseudo tumor cerbri...lol..thats all..i think...nice to meet u bill...bonny ms and seizures does anyone have seizures with there ms...if so do they have a vns implant...i am getting surgery on the 24 to get mine...bonny Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest guest Posted November 18, 2004 Report Share Posted November 18, 2004 Bonny my sister inlaw Val has been using her VNS since 1999 and she has not had a seizure since about that time it has really given her a new life because she use to have the seizures all the time it seemed. I know she had driving restrictions for about 3 years there until she got the VNS. She had to go 6 months without a seizure before she was allowed to drive again. Do you have a lot of seizures? I hope you will keep me updated as to how well the VNS works for you.
