back pain?

When I was a kid I decided I would NEVER have back pain. Bad move on my part.100

years ago there was no time for this foolishness, Ppl had to be out milking cows

and cutting wood and growing gardens and cleaning the outhouse. So why are we

the way we are?

Any ideas out there?

I tell young ppl now that they really should never ever decide what they don't

want to be like in their elders.

I used to love one grandma but I never wanted to have her teeth because they

were crumbling out of her mouth so it looked. Guess who sees crackle looking

glazing on her teeth now and also feels rough edges on teeth that feels like the

edges are crumbling away.

Now I know I need to get this taken care of but with a monthly trip between MI

and GA and the litigation standing on dad's estate, the deal of everyday life,

not knowing when hubby will get a day in the area to visit, how the heck can I

find the right time and dentist to get this taken care of.

Also does anyone out there have any guidelines for finding a dentist who won't

break your neck during treatment? Last dental work nearly killed me. I am OK in

the chair dentists never bothered me at all as far as fear factor is involved.

It's the aftermath of the pressure on my neck and jaw that's the killer.

So do I go in and tell the dentist how I want him to practice his field? I don't

know any other way to do it and then there is the arrogance of anyone who is

called doctor in the way of things too.

Sorry to be so philosophical tonight but I get this way sometimes. And I always

ask lots of questions, I have a whole draft box full of them that I didn't send

yet. : ?

,

I didn't do the things you did at that young an age but I did work like a dog

from the time I was 16. And also, very active in high school activities and

hurt myself many times. My Mom always said that you hurt yourself when your

young, it will come back when you are older. Boy was she right. Although I

hurt my back in a boating accident 14 yrs. ago. The rest of the body has just

fallen apart. Wonder what things will be like when I am 80, lol. donna

Country folks almost always had a " hired man " and a " hired girl. " Mothers,

living in towns, very frequently had a " hired girl " to help with the house, yard

and garden work load. In my neck of the woods, having " hired help " was the norm

until the early 1960's.

People had bad backs and left the hard labour to the hired help anytime they

could. They also worked until they dropped. 100 years ago, the life expectancy

of a woman with children was 40 some years.

We've come a long way baby :-)

LOL. I remember looking at my slim Mum's shapely legs, complete with cellulite

and spider veins, and thinking " When I'm 50, I'll never look like that. "

Bwahahahahahahaha

I swore I would never be like my abusive mother, and I thank God, I wasn't.

When she'd say something, I'd think " when I'm older, I won't do that, Instead,

I'll do this. " and I did, and have 7 wonderful children as a result. Funny how

I became a better parent because of one who had a lot of problems.
