Gigi,

Welcome! And congratulations on making a healthy choice for yourself. You CAN

do this!!! And it's worth the effort. I've been on program for 12 weeks, and

have lost 27.5 pounds, with 68.5 to go.

You're in a great place to share!!

Hugs,

Connie

Re: Introduction

Hi, my name is Gigi & I'm starting my second day. I'm terribly excited and

shocked that I made it through my first. I have 100lbs. to lose. Wish me

luck today! Gigi

Connie, Congrats on your weight loss...thanks for the welcome. I'm sure

you're like me & have tried everything & it didn't work. Would you say that

it has been easier this time? What is your perspective with this plan

compared to the others. Gigi

Gigi,

YES! I've tried them all. I've been overweight almost my entire life. I've

done it all. WW is the easiest and the healthiest... physically and

emotionally. It's like having money in the bank.... you have so much to spend,

and you can spend it however you like.... once it's gone, it's gone. Luckily,

the bank replenishes everyday (wish my money account did). It's not like being

on a diet. If you want cake, have cake. It's fun and challenging for me to

find great treats for low points.... like bargain hunting.

I am doing this now for my HEALTH! I'm 48 years old, and not the young thang I

used to be..... and I want to be healthy for my grandchildren!!!

Hi,

My name is Kiersten. I just joined this group and rejoined weight wacthers

yesterday. This is far from my first time trying weight wacthers, but my

lack of success is surely because of me, not the program. I weigh 150.8 lbs

and am 5'1. I chose this group because I plan to be serious and commited

this time. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Welcome Kiersten. You can do it.....make that commitment to yourself. Remember

that you are stronger than food, and keep in mind the goal of being healthier.

You have power over it!

Jane,

Welcome to this group, you will get lots of help here. As for the points,

you could always email this group and I'm sure someone would have the answer

for ya, or you can try www.dottisweightlosszone.com, she has tons of recipes

with the points already figured out. For the exercise points, you will get

a exercise slide after four weeks on Weight Watchers if you go to the

meetings. If not, go to www.somemoorecats.com, this site has exercise

journals you can figure out and all you do is put your exercise in and how

long and it figures out the exercise points for you. Good luck in this

journey to lose weight, your doing great already losing 60 lbs.

Congratulations.

I’m confused. How is the 10% calculated? Here we calculate 10% of our

starting weight, and make that our first goal. So, is that 10% 7 lbs of 70

you want to lose?(Maybe we do it different).

N.

I find the goal weight completely overwhelming, but I'm

getting close to my 10% (only 7 lbs!) and I have a pair of Eddie Bauer

jeans in my closet that I wore twice during a short period of anxiety

induced weight loss a couple of years ago that I'm hoping to get into by

early March.

So glad to be here with you all!

I'm counting it as 10% of my original bodyweight.

You have to take 10% of your starting weight, so if you started at 200 lbs,

you have to lose 20 lbs to hit your 10% mark.

Shanda,

I think she has seven more pounds to go--not seven total!

I think.

Hi, my name is phine and I'm 23yrs old, from NYC. I'm new to the group

but not to weight watchers. I joined over last summer and did very well. I

lost the 30lbs I needed to lose and felt great! But I let myself slip around

Thanksgiving and it continued thru Xmas and well now here I am. And I gained

most of the weight back but I'm now determined more than ever to lose what I

gained back and more, count my points and stick to the plan. Happy to be

part of the list :o)

Is your e-mail address correct? Other than that, I can't think what else would

cause that.

Hi Vicky!

It's normal to be excited and scared at the same time before surgery. It seems

as though everything fell right into place for you as far as doctors etc are

concerned. Good luck with your surgery!
