Guest guest
Hi Friends, I have long wondered about this and now have the best place to ask: I take many medications in the morning and evening. I often collect them in a cup and swallow the bunch at once (especially when I'm tired). Should I be taking them one medication at a time? I'd love to know if there's any medical support for responses too. Thanks in advance, Warmly, Jeannie =====
Guest guest
Hi Jeannie It doesn't matter if you swallow them one at a time or all at once because they are all going into your stomach. The only thing I can think of is the possibility of choking. Kaylene Should I be taking them one >medication at a time? Guest guest
I have been on so many medications these last 9+ years that I would take 11 at once in the morning, the others during times during day and the handful at night, as you can see its almost 5:00 am and I cannot even sleep after three sleeping pills (all different) and pain can keep you up. But I say take the " groups of pills at the designated times " by the handful, just keep some crackers handy, my stomach is ruined because of the meds, I have to take a couple of prevacid a day, tums, etc. Much love, hope, peace, happiness and faith, M
Guest guest
Check the drug interactions...some meds don't have adverse reactions to one another, but can compete with bonding sites in your cells if taken simultaneously (which would basically be wasting meds). For example, if you take two different pain killers (like one time release, one immediate actiing), you should take them 2 hours apart so that they don't block each other on the way to the cells. Are you taking them all with food or milk? Just taking several pills without much of anything else can cause stomach upset... Raven
