Smilax aristolochia folia - resend

Dear All,

Please advise, what is the current legislative situation regarding

Smilax aristolochia folia? I have just discovered my patient is taking

this herb in a compound as prescribed by a non-herbalist... I know the

herb was banned due to confusion over plant identity in 2000.

My concerns are obvious - patient safety; the product's availability (if

banned) and the legal issues of anything going wrong for the patient

when the item has been prescribed - front page of The Sun-style...
