Hi Ammey,

Are you seeing an Ophthalmologist for your vision?

Essential Tremor... a good friend has this, and it's run through her family. My husband's grandmother has it as well, though I heard of it first from my girlfriend. My husband likely has ET (his hands have trembled for years). As I read of tremors associated with MS, I'm very interested.

I know there are meds available for ET, when needed. Is yours at that point? Where it interferes with your life and you want it to ease? (Never mind, just caught what you said there lol -- having a "missing information" day... or week).

My girlfriend said hers really bothers her when she's eating, and it's one reason she hates going for food on a date.

I think you've explained well.

Hugs,

Challis

Hi,I aqlso have sever fatigue, uh, more like drowsiness or SICK tired. Dizziness, bladder difficulty, burning skin sensations, etc. I have scotomas in mostly upper right quadrant also but around the peripheral as well. There are also changes in the center. My optic nerve doesn't really respond to light and is severly pale. My left eye has mild changes on VER and visual feild and slight paleness also but not like the right eye. It has not improved but the bluriness has gotten better. Evertime I take a hot shower my blurriness comes right back. He said he doesn't see lesions in any other area of my nevous system and that he doesn't want to put me on medication that is so serious if there isn't DEFINITE evidence of MS(criteria). He said some people it(Rx) doesn't help. I am confused though because in order to treat my eye so I don't go blind, do I HAVE to have MS? Do they always go hand in hand and IF they DO...why then don't they consider the Diagnosis with my current clinical symptoms? He said my tremor might be essential tremor? Are trmors a MS symptom, you said you had tremors? He offered medication for that problem and just told me I should see an MS specialist to take a more detailed look at my history and symptoms and tests. I really just want treatment for my eye, I am an artist and it really upsets me to never know when this is going to come back. If there is medication that COULD help, I want to try it. It is worth it to me. If I am going to go on to develope MS anyway, why wait until they see eveidence(lesions) in another area of my body? Oh, sigh, I am trying to keep up my spirits but to tell the truth I feel really alone right now and do not know how to explain this to anyone. Any advice or info? Thanks for reading ,Ammey

Now, I know Avonex has some programs open. I wonder if any would work for you?

Patti,That is the same with me. My Spinal Tap came back normal. My doctor says I may very well have MS. He wants to see me again in 6 months. In the meantime, he wants me to start one of the medications such as Avonex. That is not even going to be a possibility as I don't have the finances available to pay for it. Now my hope is to find diets and exercises to help. I am so frustrated and have such a feeling of despair right now. I guess that I should have never gotten my hopes up that I may be helped because now I am depressed. How do the rest of you manage? When is healthcare going to be just that caring for one's health. My insurance is extremely poor on prescriptions if it covers it at all. Anyone have any suggestions or encouragement?Marcy
