The last I remember is she was being evacuated from Merritt Island last week I think it was Thursday. We have heard form Tom I know. Guest guest Posted September 10, 2004 Report Share Posted September 10, 2004 It looks like mother nature is not finished with re-shaping Florida yet, this next hurricane if Florida gets hit again looks like a whopper. My parents mobile home park they live at in the winter time is about 50 miles from Disney World and there park area has just had minor damage. I hope with this next storm they won't have and or much damage. I think said his mobile home was near Daytona beach, but he recently had moved to a new location. Lets hope he reports back in soon. Guest guest Posted September 10, 2004 Report Share Posted September 10, 2004 Hi, My father lives in Fort Pierce and has a business in Port st. lucie. We finally heard from him and his wife. Their house is pretty bad, all trees down, hole in roof. They are living in a camper outside of their house. My dad has not traveled to his business to evaluate the damage there. What a horrible result....and as Bill said (?) there IS another bad one coming. My brother is a meterologist for the National Weather Service in Norman, OK and they are very worried about this upcoming hurricane and the damage it can/might do to FL. It did do SEVERE damage in the southern islands the past few days....pray that it takes a turn east and missed the states totally.
