Guest guest
Hello Actors. It's been a very trying week and keeps getting worse at the moment. I'm in a slump, and as that Dr Seuss book says (that was referenced last month by someone), " unslumping myself is not easily done " . I try my favourite ACT exercises but I can't pull them off at the moment. Sigh. My wife calls these " void days " . When she's had a rough day with our lad, and what she wanted to do hasn't worked, she declares it a " void day " and starts again tomorrow. She says that void days don't count when you look back over your life. They are erased from the record. I quite like that. I think that everyday that I don't win, that means I've lost something. And that drags me down a bit, and means I reflect on them badly the next day. Maybe I can write them off, and start afresh next day? Some days, the Gods are just not smiling upon you, and you just have to get through them a bit. But that's OK, because sooner or later the tides turn and the wind is at your back again. It's been another void day today, but that doesn't mean it will be the same tomorrow. x
