Ann,

There is a program on most computers start menu called magnifier, from what I've read, his type is so small you can't read it, this may help.

Valary

Challis,Please don't be angry with me, I appreciate all the advice I can get. However, I have difficulty reading your posts and most of the time I delete them instead of reading them. It seems either the font style or size is too small for my poor ms eyes to read. Is there a way I can change the font after you have sent it? You are always so kind in responding to everyone, but I need some help !!!!Ann__________________________________________________

I have problems with my esophagus too. I have spasms, the neurologist

says. I get the kind of ache in my esophagus like I swallowed a big

chunk of steak that wasn't chewed up enough. I get this when I'm not

eating anything. Sometimes it will just throb for an hour or two.

Sometimes I get this when I'm drinking, tho. My neurologist said to put

my head down when I swallow a liquid and to never ever use a straw.

Hi Shirley,

I have a pan designated for my oils and I fill it with water and put the oils, etc., in and let them simmer. My husband laughs and says he loves when I "simmer trash". I toss in fruit (apples, citrus), maybe a used peach tea bag, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and anything else that goes well with the oils I have in the pan. Trash. LOL Sometimes it's just the oils.

I also have a burner, similar to a potpourri burner, that I've taken to using (a drop or two of the oil, with water). I just wish something longer-lasting that a tea candle would fit in there. lol I also have a decorative container that I fill with water and add a few drops of oil to, and set atop my wood stove. I add certain oils to baking soda and sprinkle on the floor when needed. (I added mints to baking soda and put them in an airtight container for my Mom's trip, for when the queasies struck -- I always add a drop of mints to a tissue in the car, because my four year old has trouble with car sickness). I've added to carrier oils (Jojoba is my favorite, though many work well) and dabbed a bit on a body when appropriate.

Some people put a drop of oil on a ring around a light bulb and some put (certain) oils on the bulb.

The oils have oodles of reason/intents. :o) For me, I use Thyme to "cleanse the air" when germs are about. Eucalyptus is great for congestion! Cinnamon is my mood lifter and house warmer. The citrus oils are for various Mood Pickups as well. Lavender is a calmer. Peppermint or Spearmint offer nice clean smells and help settle a queasy tummy. These are a few of my favorite things. LOL I'm a fan of Tee Tree Oil, too, and now drop a bit of that in my pan when people are sick.

Challis, Christmas music on babpipes, now that sounds interesting. I can see those foot flinging steps putting you in bed for a couple of days, talk about the fatigue.....lol You only have you to make yourself to be happy. So I try to make myself happy. Especially when I know I'm a bit down. I'm by myself so much I have to cheer myself up....lol

Do you simmer the oils in potpourri burners or what? I don't know anything about them. You said you put them in for germs. Are they a germ killer?

Your CD sounds great! :o) (my dh) recently gave me a CD for my birthday of Christmas songs on bagpipes. It's the best I've heard yet. <g> He says he expects to see me dancing about, with all those fancy foot flinging steps. Uhm, probably not, but nifty idea. LOL I've always enjoyed dancing about the house, especially with the children. It just makes me smile to read your post. :o)

That is so nice that your BIL and wife are able to be in Korea near her family. I'm sure she loves it. :o)

Ah, simmering oils. Essential oils. When we have the germs around here, or threat of them, I put oils to simmering. Thyme is great for this.
